Dr. Jorgensen is committed to lifelong education and improvement in the fields of dentistry. He applies what he learns to provide his patients with the best long-term results, durability, and aesthetics with minimal discomfort.
Dr. Jorgensen’s practice philosophy is what he calls conservatively proactive to create occlusal harmony. By creating an equalized chewing occlusion to minimize stresses on any one tooth we are able to prevent premature fractures, wear, and/or discomfort, resulting in happy health teeth.
In his free time, Dr. Jorgensen enjoys many diverse hobbies. Since 1991, he has operated his family owned commercial salmon fishing boat in the Cook Inlet of Alaska. Dr. Jorgensen is a proficient skier and snowboarder who taught skiing and boarding at Sunrise Ski Park Resort in Pinetop, AZ. He is an overall outdoor enthusiast who enjoys all activities from golf to hiking, camping to canoeing, scuba diving to boating. His latest passion is vintage VW’s. He has restored a 1963 VW Single Cab pickup, and is working on 2 rare Type 34 European Karmann Ghias – less than 2,000 of 20,000 remain. Also waiting restoration are a Thing, Squareback, and just for change of pace, an Austin Healey Bug-Eyed Sprite.
He and his wife Dr. Maria Mendes, a Brazilian dentist, spend time together in Alaska, Arizona, and Brazil. They have been married since 2004 and Dr. Mendes, herself a dentist since 1991, worked for 11 years in an orthodontic office in Scottsdale, AZ, before joining her husband in Alaska. She is helping Dr. Jorgensen’s practices with Fast Braces®, Invisalign®, and ClearCorrect treatments.
